Meet Gidget!

Breed: Northern Mix

Age: 14 yrs old

Sex: Female

Gidget, our 14-year-old gal, has recently joined FTLOD after her human was hospitalized indefinitely.

Gidget is a reserved and independent lady who spends her days napping between a few short walks. At heart, she’s a true husky, loving the outdoors. While she may not move quickly, the excitement in her step when the leash comes out shows she’s still full of life and enthusiasm.

She is indifferent to the other dogs in her foster home and has been respectful toward the 9 year old, although we are seeking a lower traffic household.

A recent vet visit confirmed she’s in good shape for her age, with no remarkable health issues.

Gidget is a low-maintenance companion, ready to a calm presence. She is not destructive when left alone and display no separation anxiety.

We will be offering Gidget for compassionate placement which means the adoption fee will be waived. A donation could be made.

Meet Rev!

Breed: Northern Mix

Age: 2-3months

Sex: Male

Meet Rev! This little dude is full of fun and energy and loves all things outdoors. He’s currently in foster care with other dogs and enjoys wrestling with his buddies and running around on the trail. He is slowly but surely getting used to the crate and going to the bathroom outside but this is a work in progress.

Rev would thrive in an active home with adopters that are open to training. He would be happy with other dogs or as a solo canine.

Meet Reyna!

Breed: Northern Mix

Age: 10-12wks

Reyna is another one of our northern munchkins! This little lady is confident and as social as can be. 

She currently resides with a couple of other pups as well as a toddler AND outdoor farm animals, so needless to say she has had an awesome start in foster care Reyna’s getting the hang of crate training & house training as well.

Meet Eddie!

Breed: Northern Mix

Age: 10-11months

This young guy is Eddie! He flew in with some friends from Nunavut recently and is now ready to find his forever home. He’s short in stature, super unique and has the cutest underbite.

He’s social with dogs, cats & humans but is shy in new situations sometimes and needs a little encouragement. He’s quickly beginning to understand the concepts of crate training and house training in foster care.

Eddie’s ideal new home is with people who can help him blossom into a confident young dude and provide him with some basic training and exercise outlets to keep him happy & healthy!

Meet Penny!

Breed: Terrier mix

Sex: Female - fixed

Age: 1 year old

Penny is one of the three girls who picked up her life from the warm beaches to move to Canada and find her forever home.

At roughly 25 pounds, Penny is the perfect size companion to go everywhere with you, and would never turn down the invitation.

Penny’s biggest problem is she wishes should could be in her humans skin. This affectionate little lady is seeking a family of her own; one who will enjoy the cuddles but also show an understanding of the importance of healthy attachment.

Penny is currently residing with a single human and two other dogs; she is doing fabulous in this environment. She is house trained and crate trained.

Penny is untested with cats. Per her foster, Penny does display signs of a high prey drive. Should an applicant with felines apply, a cat test could be done prior.
